A Step-by-Step Easy Pumpkin Drawing Tutorial

Pumpkins have quite a symmetrical shape, but they can still be a little tricky to draw from scratch. To help you create a perfect pumpkin sketch, we use a series of simple construction steps to build up the basic shape. We then build on these shapes, adding more realistic curves and details. The final element is using color to add dimensionality and texture to our realistic pumpkin sketch. You can see an outline of the tutorial steps in the image below. 

As you can see, color is the most impactful part of our pumpkin sketch. The choice of medium for this pumpkin drawing tutorial is completely up to you. Whether you are a digital artist, or you prefer to use more physical mediums, you can simply adjust the steps to suit your own individual needs. While we give quite detailed instructions, you do not have to follow us exactly. 

It is always fun to add your own artistic flair and style to your drawings. 

Step 1: Construct the Base Shape

We are going to begin our pumpkin sketch by creating a simple base shape. Begin by finding the central point of your canvas, and draw a large upside-down trapezoid shape. You can think of this base shape as looking a little like a pot for a plant. We are going to use this base to create a more curved and realistic pumpkin shape in the next step. 

Step 2: Create a More Realistic Pumpkin Shape

Using the base shape, we are now going to create a more realistic outline of our pumpkin drawing. On either side, create an outwardly curving bulge from the top to bottom corners of the trapezoid. You can then create slight bumps on the top and bottom of the trapezoid. The top of your pumpkin sketch should have a few more bumps than the bottom. 

These bumps do not need to be perfectly symmetrical or the same size.  

Step 3: Draw the Stalk and the Ribs

We are going to do two things in this step. First, draw a small curving stalk that extends from the center of the top of your pumpkin. Next, from each of the bumps on the top outline, create curving lines down the front of your pumpkin. These lines should not extend all the way down to the bottom, and those on the edge should be slightly shorter. Once you have completed this step, you can erase all visible construction lines. 

Step 4: Begin Coloring Your Pumpkin Sketch

We are now going to start coloring our pumpkin drawing. In order to create as much realism as possible, we are going to gradually build up the color in layers. Begin with a regular paintbrush and some bright orange paint, filling your pumpkin outline with an even coat of color. 

Step 5: Add Color to the Stem  

This is a very short and sweet step. All you need to do is add a base color to the stem of your pumpkin. Use a regular brush and a very dark shade of green paint to fill the entire stem. 

Step 6: Start Contouring Your Pumpkin

We are now going to begin enhancing the structure of our pumpkin with some contouring. Begin with a small blending brush and a touch of black paint, adding some light brush strokes along the structure lines. You can then repeat this at the bottom of the pumpkin. You can then use a darker shade of orange to enhance these contours even more and blend the darker shade into the base color. 

When using black, remember to start very gently, as it is very difficult to remove black if you use too much.  

Step 7: Create Some Texture

We are now going to add a little fine-grain texture to the skin of our pumpkin drawing. Use a fine detailing brush and a combination of dark grey and black paint for this process. Following the curving shapes created by the rib lines, create fine texture lines. Continue the process, gradually building up a realistic texture across the entire pumpkin. 

Step 8: Add Some Highlights

When it comes to creating realistic dimensions in any drawing, contouring and highlighting go hand in hand. Now that we have created some shadows, we are going to complement them with some highlights. Begin with a small blending brush and some white paint, adding subtle touches of highlight along the texture lines from the last step. You can also add highlights to the very top of your pumpkin, blending the color down gently. On the left side of your pumpkin, you can create a larger highlight spot, as if a light is hitting that small spot. 

You can add additional texture using a rough stipple brush.  

Step 9: Enhance the Shading Further

With a small blending brush and a darker shade of orange, add some additional streaks of shading between the highlighted brush strokes. Add more shading to the bottom of the pumpkin and gently blend it upwards. 

Step 10: Add Some Texture to the Stem

Now that we have created some realistic texture in our pumpkin, we are going to begin creating texture in the stem. Begin with a small blending brush and some light yellow paint, adding some curving stripes within the stem. Between these stripes, you should still be able to see the base color coat. Next, with some light green paint, softly blend these colors together. 

Step 11: Create A Ground Shadow

Just before we finish our pumpkin drawing, we are going to create a ground shadow below the base of the vegetable. Use a blending brush and some black paint, and apply a soft shadow right below the pumpkin. You can then use a clean blending brush to create a soft and subtle blend outwards in all directions. 

Step 12: Finishing Your Pumpkin Drawing

To finish our pumpkin sketch and create a seamless result, we are simply going to remove the black outline. If you are drawing digitally, you can simply delete the outline layer. For physical mediums, use a fine detail brush and the corresponding color at each point of the outline to carefully trace over it. You will now be left with a beautiful realistic pumpkin drawing!

Unpeeled Easy Banana Drawing Tutorial in 17 Steps!

Bananas are actually very easy to draw if you go about it in the right way. We break the banana down into a series of easy-to-follow steps. In the first steps of this tutorial, we show you how to construct a realistic banana outline using simple shapes. We then move on to build up realistic coloring and texture in our banana sketch. You can see a brief outline of the banana drawing steps in the collage below. 

The medium that you choose for this banana drawing tutorial is completely up to you. If you are a beginner artist, then we suggest a medium that is easy to work with, like acrylic paint. If you are more experienced and have a preferred medium, then you are welcome to use whatever you feel most comfortable with. 

Gather your supplies, and let us begin to create our unpeeled banana outline. 

Step 1: Construct the Basic Banana Shape

We begin our banana sketch by creating a single shape to represent the base of the banana. Find the center of your drawing area, and create a curving banana outline. The right side should be higher and thinner, while the left end should be a little wider. 

Step 2: Draw the Stalk Of Your Banana

On the left bottom end of your banana outline, you can now draw a stalk. This stalk should be fairly short, with a protruding edge. You can also draw a defined middle line. 

Step 3: Shape the First Banana Peel 

We are now going to begin drawing the unfurled peels of your banana sketch. Begin around halfway down your initial banana outline, and draw a large curving line from the top. This line should curve down towards the bottom of the banana, ending just below the bottom outline. 

You can then draw another curving line from within the banana body and join the other end.  

Step 4: Draw the Second Peel

This second peel is mostly hidden behind the banana, so you will only draw the top part of it. Right above the top line of the first peel, draw a slightly rounded triangle. 

Step 5: Outline the Third Peel

We are now going to draw the third peel, which is the smallest so far. This peel is going to curve down from the level at which the first begins, but it is going to curve down to the right. 

This peel should also have a sharper curve and a more pointy edge.

We are going to shape the final peel of our banana drawing in this step. This peel is going to extend from the back of the banana, where we cannot see the beginning of it. The bottom line of the peel should begin at the same point as the peel from the previous step and end with a sharp downwards curve.

In order to create the final outline of your peeled banana sketch, you are going to add some final detail lines attached to each peel. You can then erase the overlapping outline between the banana and the stalk. 

Step 8: Apply a Base Coat to the Banana Peel

We begin our coloring process by creating a base coat for the outside of the banana peel. Find a bright banana yellow color, and use a regular brush to fill in all of the outer areas of the banana peel. 

Step 9: Begin Coloring the Banana Flesh

We are completing the base color coat for our whole banana outline in this step. Find a cream-yellow color, and use a regular brush to fill the inner body of the banana and the inner layer of skin. 

Ensure that your color coat is even and smooth without any blotches.  

Step 10: Contouring Your Banana

We are now going to add some contouring to the banana with a slightly darker shade of tan paint. Using a small blending brush, carefully add some stripes of contouring to the body of the banana drawing. You can also add these stripes to the inner layer of the skin. 

Step 11: Deepen the Contouring and Shading

In this step, you are going to deepen the contouring and also create some shading. You will need a light shade of stone-grey paint and a small blending brush. Begin by enhancing the contoured areas on the banana body and skin.

Step 12: Shade Your Banana Peel

Step 16: Add Some Final Structure

To finish your unpeeled banana sketch, you are going to add some final structure. Use a small blending brush and some light brown paint to apply some structure to the shaded parts of the inner banana, the inner skin layers, and the stalk.

Regardless of the medium that you choose, we recommend that you use something that can easily be removed for the construction steps and outlines. If you are using a physical medium, use a very light and easily erasable pencil. If you are using a digital tablet, draw the construction outlines on a separate layer that you can delete later. 

Step 1: Shape the Top Line of the Banana Sketch

The very first construction line of this easy banana drawing tutorial is a very simple curved line. In the center of your canvas, draw a steeply curved line, that has a slightly more gentle slop on the left side. 

Step 2: Draw the Bottom Line

We are now going to draw the bottom line of this banana outline. Draw a second much more curved line below the first. You will now see the final banana shape peeking through. 

Step 3: Connect the Edges

You can now connect the two edges of the banana outline. Use two short curving lines to connect the bottom and top curves of the banana, creating a sausage-like shape. 

Step 4: Realistic Banana Drawing Edges

We complete our banana outline in this step by creating realistic-looking ends. On the left end of the banana, create a slightly squared-off end. On the right end, draw the stalk of the banana. 

This stalk should be quite long and end with a sharp square point.

In this step, you are going to add some more detail to the stem of the banana outline. Draw a small curving line in the previously drawn stem outline, and create some more pointy texture at the very tip.

Step 7: Begin Creating Realistic Texture

In this step, you are going to begin creating some realistic banana drawing textures. Start by drawing a curved line through the center section of the banana. This line should follow the curve of the general banana shape. Next, create some fine dotted texture around this line, mostly below it. On the left end of the banana, create some fine hairline texture, creating a rounded triangular shape. 

Finally, complete this step by adding fine hairline texture lines within the stalk on the right end.  

Step 8: Apply a Base Color Coat

As with our previous banana drawing, we begin the coloring process by applying a single layer of a base color. Find a bright banana yellow paint and use a regular paintbrush to apply an even coat to the entire banana, including the stalk and left end. 

Step 9: Start Shading Your Banana Sketch

With a regular paintbrush and a light brown shade of paint, carefully apply color to the cut stalk and the black end of the banana drawing. Next, using a soft blending brush and just a touch of black paint, apply a light layer of shading to the bottom outline of the banana sketch. 

Remember when using black to shade, begin very lightly and darken as necessary. Black is almost impossible to remove once it has been applied, so tread lightly.  

Step 10: Apply a Second Color Coat

To increase the realism of your easy banana drawing, you can now apply some light green color to the ends of the banana. With a small blending brush and some lime green paint, apply some soft blending to the banana stalk and the left end of the banana. 

Step 11: Shade the Banana Ends

In this step, you are going to darken the shading in the cut stem and the black end of the banana. Use a small blending brush and some dark brown paint to darken the two ends of the banana. 

Complete this step by using the same tools to darken the shading along the bottom curve of the banana.

You will start with a series of construction steps that help you to create a perfectly dimensional peach outline. With that being said, let us begin learning how to draw a peach together. 

Step 1: Construct the Basic Peach Outline

We begin our peach drawing with a single construction shape. Find the center of your drawing area, and draw a large circle here. Although peaches are not perfectly round, this base shape will help us to get the general shape before we adjust it to create more realism. 

Step 2: Shape the Peach Dip

In this step, we are now going to begin shaping a more realistic peach outline. Within the base circle shape, draw a long split arch that curves around and down on the left side. 

Then, at the bottom of this arch create a more indented shape that separates from the circular outline. 

Step 3: Draw the Base of the Stem

On the right side of the arch line that you drew in the previous step, draw a little short stem. The component shapes of this stem include a round shape and two inwardly sloping side lines. 

Step 4: Shape the Peach Leaves

Now that you have the stem, you can draw two peach leaves that extend from it. Begin with the upper leaf which is going to be fully visible. Draw a center line, and then slightly jagged leaf outlines. The second leaf should sit below the first, and the base of it should be obstructed by the first one. This second leaf should curve down around the side of the peach outline. 

When you have completed this step, you can erase all of the visible construction lines and any overlapping lines, leaving a perfect peach outline.  

Step 5: Begin Coloring the Leaves

With all of the coloring elements in this peach drawing tutorial, we are going to build up the final impression with different layers. To begin coloring the leaves, you will need a regular brush and some light green paint. Paint both leaves evenly. 

Step 6: Color the Stem

You will need two different colors for the initial coloring of the stem. With a small brush and some dark brown paint, fill the bottom half of the stem evenly. Next, with a clean small brush and some light tan paint, fill in the round top bit of the stem. 

Step 7: Apply A Base Color Coat to the Peach Outline

Now that we have the base color coat for the stem and leaves, we can begin to focus on the actual peach. For the base coat, you will need a bright and cool orange color and a regular paintbrush. Carefully apply an even coat of color to the entire shape of the peach drawing. 

Step 8: Create A Secondary Color Coat

We are now going to apply the second color to the peach illustration. With the same regular brush from the previous step and a darker shade of orange, apply a secondary coat to the bottom half of the peach. You want this second coat to hug the outline around the sides of the peach sketch, and to go up into the crease. The final place where you want this darker shade is just below the leaves. You can then repeat this step with a slightly lighter orange color. To create a smooth blend between all of these shades, use a clean blending brush to melt them together. 

Finally, use a sharp brush and a combination of darker and lighter orange colors, and apply some texture spots to the darker areas of the peach illustration.  

Step 9: Enhance the Texture

In this step, you can now enhance the texture that you began in the previous step. With a small brush and some white paint, apply some small spots in the darker areas of the peach sketch. You can then repeat this process with darker shades of orange, bringing the spots upwards following the curves of the peach. 

Step 10: Complete the Texture

In this step, you can simply repeat the previous step with a darker shade of orange. This time, you can bring the texture further up the peach, almost to the top. Repeat this process several times, creating texture throughout your peach illustration. 

Step 11: Highlight Your Peach Sketch

Although we have used the word “highlight”, we are going to begin with a little shading. With a small blending brush and a little black paint, add a small amount of shading around the base of the stem. Next, with a clean blending brush and some white paint, create strokes of highlight along the top of the split and around the edges of the peach. 

Using a larger blending brush and some white paint, apply a soft glow to the left bottom area of the peach.  

Step 12: Add Detail to the Stem

This mango drawing tutorial is specially catered to artists of all levels, particularly those who are just starting out on their artistic journey. In order to make the mango sketch easy for everyone, we break the process down into easy-to-follow steps. We begin by using construction steps that form the basic shape of the mango sketch. Following this, we create a more fleshed-out mango outline and then create texture and realistic definition with color. Take a look at the image below for an outline of all of the steps. 

You will see that the majority of the steps involve coloring, and our tutorial is written for a painting medium. Despite this, you are welcome to use whichever medium you feel most adept with. Once you have gathered your supplies and found somewhere comfortable to sit, let us begin learning how to draw a mango. 

Step 1: Shape the Base of the Mango Sketch

We start our mango drawing by using a single construction shape. For our mango illustration, this initial shape is a long horizontal oval. In the very center of your drawing area, draw this large oval which will represent the main body of the mango outline. 

Step 2: Create a More Realistic Mango Outline

In this step, we are going to create a more realistic mango outline by fleshing out the construction oval. Extend the left end of the oval downwards a little, so that the point is a little lower. On the top right side of the mango construction shape, draw another line that extends upwards quite a bit, creating a more rounded shape. 

Tip: draw a slight indent on the top area (right end) where the stalk will be drawn.

Step 3: Shape the Mango Stalk

Now, you want to draw a stalk shape at the top right side of the mango outline. Find the indent that you drew in the previous step, and draw the fruit stalk. Leave a slight opening at the top of the stalk so that we can attach the leaf in the next step. 

Step 4: Draw a Mango Leaf

In this final mango outline step, you are going to draw the large mango leaf. Begin at the little gap on the mango stalk, and create a large leaf that sweeps back over the main body. Draw a center leaf line too. 

When you are happy with your final mango sketch, you can erase any of the still visible construction lines and lines that overlap.  

Step 5: Apply a Base Color Coat

This is the first coloring step of our easy mango drawing. From here, we will gradually build up realistic color and texture using various layers. Begin with a regular brush and a bright orange paint, and fill the entire mango outline with an even coat. 

Step 6: Color the Mango Stalk

With a small brush and some light brown paint, create an even layer of color in the stalk of your mango illustration. 

Step 7: Apply the Base Shade for the Leaf

Using a regular brush and some middle green paint, carefully fill the entire shape of the mango leaf with an even color coat. 

Step 8: Begin Shading Your Mango Sketch

This step is the first that begins to focus on creating more realism in your mango illustration. Use a medium-sized blending brush and a slightly darker shade of orange paint to apply some soft circular coats around the curves of your mango. How to Draw a Lemon in 13 Simple Steps

In our drawing tutorials, we love to break the subject down into easy-to-follow steps. The first steps always focus on constructing the base shape of the item, allowing us to create the right dimensions and overall shape. Let us begin learning how to draw a cupcake!

Step 1: Construct the Cupcake Case

We begin our easy cupcake drawing by using a single trapezoid shape to represent the case of our little cake. Find the center of your drawing area, and draw a large inverted trapezoid shape. Remember that you will need to draw the frosting above this base shape, so leave enough space for it. 

Step 2: Shape the Base of Your Cupcake Frosting

Now that you have the cupcake base constructed, it is time to finish the basic shape of our cupcake sketch. From each end of the cup, draw two lines that slope upwards and inwards. These lines should meet at a single point, creating a triangular shape. This triangle will form the general shape of the frosting, helping us to create symmetry. 

Step 3: Outline the Sprinkle Shapes

Now that the base of the cupcake sketch is complete, we can move on to the decorations. In this step, you are going to place the sprinkles for your cupcake drawing, using different-sized circles. Place these circles throughout the upper frosting triangle, making them as random as possible. 

To finish this step, draw one final sprinkle ball on the ground near the cupcake case. 

Step 4: Create a More Detailed Final Outline

In this step, you are going to use your construction lines to help you create a more realistic fleshed-out outline. Begin with the cupcake case, starting by creating a wave-like pattern across the top. Then, create verticle lines from the top to the bottom to create those signature ridges. For the frosting, use the triangular shape to create swirls. 

When you have finished this outline, you can erase any of the remaining construction lines. 

Step 5: Add A Base Color Coat to the Cupcake Case

For our first coloring step, you will need a regular brush and some light brown paint. With these tools, apply a single even coat of color to the case of your cupcake drawing. 

Step 6: Color the Frosting

With a regular brush and some dusty pink paint, apply an even coat of color to the entire area of frosting. 

Step 7: Apply Color to the Sprinkles 

To color the sprinkle balls, you will need a small brush and a variety of different colors. Carefully fill each of the sprinkle balls, with blue, red, yellow, green, and purple. Ensure that the spread of colors is random. 

Step 8: Shade the Cupcake Case

For this step, you are going to need a small blending brush and a slightly darker shade of brown. Using these, you are going to apply some subtle shading to the right edge of each fold in the realistic cupcake case. This step is the first advanced shading step in our easy cupcake drawing. 

The shading helps us to create realistic definitions, bringing our cupcake sketch to life.  

Step 9: Highlight the Cupcake Case

To complement and contrast the shading of the cupcake case, you can now add some highlights. With a soft blending brush and light tan paint, add a lighter streak next to the shadows from the previous step. Apply soft downwards brush strokes that follow the direction of the detail lines. 

Finish this step by using a clean blending brush to blend all of the colors together.  

Step 10: Enhance the Cup Highlights

In this step, you are going to enhance the highlights on the cupcake case. Use a small blending brush and some white paint to add a spot of highlight on the top of each crease in the case. You can carefully blend these highlight spots down a little along the texture lines of the case. Finish this step with a clean blending brush to create a smooth blend between colors. 

Step 11: Add Realistic Cupcake Texture

Just above the case of your cupcake sketch, there is a small patch of visible cake. You are going to add texture to this cake in this step with a rough stipple brush. Using some light brown or tan paint, apply some rough patches of stippling on the visible cake. 

Remember to leave the base color coat visible.  

Step 12: Add a Second Color to the Cupcake Frosting

In this step, you are going to add a darker shade of pink to the swirls of frosting. Use a small blending brush and a darker pink paint and add a color fade between the layers of frosting. Ensure that your brush strokes are light and smooth. You want to leave a streak of light pink between the darker pink. 

Step 13: Highlight the Frosting

With a small soft brush and white paint, add a highlighted coat to the light pink part of the cupcake frosting. Use soft brush strokes between the two color coats to create a smooth light pink fade. On the bottom layer of the frosting, apply a fully white coat. 

Finish this step by using a clean blending brush to create a smooth blend.

Step 14: Shade the Frosting of Your Cupcake Drawing

 Using a small blending brush and some black paint, add a small amount of shading in the areas of the frosting where there is more depth. This shading should be concentrated between the layers of frosting and in the folds of the swirls. 

Step 15. Highlight the Sprinkle Balls

As we come to the end of our cupcake drawing, we move on to focus on the sprinkle balls. With a small blending brush and some white paint, add gentle highlight spots and reflective areas to each sprinkle ball. 

Step 16: Apply a Ground Shadow

Using a small soft brush and black paint, apply soft brush strokes from the bottom of the cupcake outwards in both directions. Then, use a small blending brush to spread and fade the shadow realistically. 

Step 17: Finish Your Easy Cupcake Drawing

To finish your realistic cupcake drawing, you can now remove the outline. With a very fine brush and the color that corresponds to each point of the outline, carefully trace over the dark black lines and any inner texture lines.

Today we show you how to draw a realistic Orange! In this tutorial, we will cover the basic steps of creating an orange sketch including setting up the basic shape, coloring, and then highlights and shading! The result will be a hyper-realistic orange drawing that makes you want to reach out and grab it. You can see an outline of our orange drawing tutorial in the collage below. 

You will see that most of this orange drawing tutorial involves coloring. When it comes to these coloring steps, you have a wide range of choices for the medium. We suggest that you use the medium that you feel most comfortable with, as we will be exploring some fairly complex shading and highlighting skills. If you prefer to work on a digital drawing tablet or you are a more physical artist who uses acrylic paint, then you can simply adapt the steps to suit your own unique needs.

Step 1: Draw the Main Shape of Your Orange 

In the very first step of our orange sketch tutorial, you are going to draw a large circle. In some ways, this step is really simple, but in other ways, it can be quite tricky. If you do not feel comfortable drawing a circle freehand, then you can trace a round object. Find the very center of your drawing canvas, and draw this large circle as lightly as possible. 

Step 2: Define the Shape of Your Orange Drawing

Now that we have the circle base for our orange sketch, it is time to create a slightly more realistic shape. As with most things in nature, oranges are not perfectly round. Because we want to create a realistic orange drawing, it is essential that we make the shape a little more natural. Begin this step at the bottom of the large circle, drawing a curved line that dips in slightly from the outer edge of the circle. This should flatten the bottom of your orange sketch ever so slightly. Finally, at the top of the circle, draw several creases and stretch lines. 

These lines will represent the small dip at the top of the orange where the stem emerges. 

Step 3: Outline the Stem

You created the natural dip at the top of the orange sketch in the previous step. You are now going to use that dip to place the stem. Between these top creases, draw a short stem that extends upwards from the orange with a squared-off edge. 

Step 4: Shape the Leaf of Your Orange Sketch

Now that you have the stem in place, you can draw the outline of your leaf. From the right side of the stem, draw a single large leaf that curves down around the side of the orange. Within the bottom portion of the leaf, you can draw a centerline. 

Step 5: Apply a Base Coat of Orange 

Your outline is now complete, so it is time to add a single layer of base color to your orange outline drawing. Use a regular brush and some orange paint, and carefully fill the entire shape of your orange sketch. 

Remember to leave the stem and the leaf blank, as we will color these separately in the next few steps. 

Step 6: Add Color to the Stem

In this very quick step, you are simply going to fill in the shape of the stem with a light, caramel brown color. 

Step 7: Color Your Orange Leaf

To complete the base coat for your realistic orange drawing, find a shade of pine green color and fill the leaf shape with an even coat. 

Step 8: Begin Creating Some Dimension

You can see that at the moment, your orange drawing is looking a little flat and two-dimensional. In this step, we are going to begin adding some shadows and highlights to bring your realistic orange drawing to life. Find a blending brush and a slightly darker shade of orange, and carefully apply some soft strokes of shading within the main body of your orange sketch. 

Focus these shadow strokes around the edge of your orange, and ensure that they follow the curve of the fruit for additional realism. 

Step 9: Highlight Your Orange Drawing

In the previous step, you began to add some shading. In this step, you are going to add the first layer of highlights and darken some areas of shading. Begin with a small blending brush and an even darker shade of orange than the previous step. Carefully apply an additional layer of shading around the edges of your orange to add some more structure. Next, use a clean blending brush and some white paint to apply spots of highlight to the areas of your orange drawing that would naturally catch the light. These areas include patches in the center of your orange and the creases at the top.

With a small soft brush and the same olive-brown color, carefully shade the centerline of the leaf, all the way up to the stem. Complete this step by using a small blending brush and a touch of black paint to add texture to the leaf.

With a small blending brush and some white paint, lightly soften the side wall of the leaf. Finish this step by gently adding some orange paint to the underside of the leaf. This should give the impression of the orange fruit drawing  reflecting onto the leaf.

Using a small soft brush and a darker shade of orange, apply a casted shadow at the very bottom base of the orange. This should increase the realism of your orange sketch!

To complete your orange fruit drawing, you can now erase the outlines. Trace over the lines with a sharp brush and the corresponding color at each point. You can erase all of the visible black lines, including those in the stem and leaf.
